1. Overview

GLPal is designed as a privacy-first, local-first application. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal data.

All data you enter into GLPal is stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to use the optional cloud backup feature.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

GLPal does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • IP address
  • Device identifiers
  • Location data
  • Health or personal tracking data
  • Usage analytics
  • Cookies
  • Advertising identifiers

We do not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, tracking technologies, or third-party marketing tools.

3. Local Data Storage

All data entered into GLPal is stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage or device storage.

This data remains under your control and is not transmitted to us.

If you uninstall the app or clear your browser/device storage, your data may be permanently deleted.

4. Third Party Services

Google Drive Backup

GLPal offers an optional backup feature using Google Drive.

If you choose to enable this feature:

  • You will be asked to authorize access to your Google Drive account via Google OAuth.
  • GLPal creates and uses a dedicated application folder in your Google Drive.
  • Backup data is stored inside your own Google Drive account.
  • We do not have access to your Google Drive files.
  • We do not see, collect, or store your Google account credentials.
  • Access to Google Drive is limited to the scope required for backup functionality only.
  • You may revoke Google Drive access at any time through your Google Account permissions settings.

Hosting

GLPal's website and landing pages are hosted using GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub, Inc.

GitHub may automatically collect certain technical information, such as IP addresses, for security, abuse prevention, and operational purposes. This information is processed by GitHub in accordance with their Privacy Statement.

GLPal does not access, control, or store this information.

5. Data Security

Because GLPal does not transmit or store user data on external servers, your data security primarily depends on your device security and Google account security (if backup is enabled).

We recommend:

  • Keeping your device secure with a passcode or biometric lock.
  • Enabling two-factor authentication on your Google account if using backup.

6. Children's Privacy

GLPal does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any users. Since the application does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no data gathering from minors.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
